Tuesday, May 18, 2004   SmadnessDesktop preview
A preview has been released of the 'smadness daily desktop application. It's a simple AppleScript that sets your desktop to a daily photo from smadness.com. More to come.

Tuesday, February 10, 2004   PrimTrack 0.1 release
PrimTrack is a short application (short = binge coding in 12 hours or less) that was developed for a Graph Theory class to demonstrate Prim's algorithm. Prim's algorithm, in a nutshell (no pardons to O'Reilly), is a method of finding a least cost minimum spanning tree on a weighted graph. The algorithm is actually rather easy to code; the challenge that I took up was to code the OpenGL and Cocoa interface for the program. Numerous java applets that step through Prim's algorithm are out there, but here's a fresh copy for your own desktop. Resizes well to large screens. It's considered an 0.1 release (first release), but I'm not planning any more work for it. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to email me, but I can't promise I'll have the time to put any more hard thought into it.

Wednesday, January 7, 2004   the Fractality Project
Fractality 0.4 has been re-released today, and the Fractality Project has been revived somewhat. Classes still inhibit development to a point, but what can be done will be done. Here's to progress.

Friday, September 5, 2003   random Perl scripts
I'm now opening up my library of random perl scripts. It's a free library of my personal perl scripts that I use on a daily basis. They come with no warranty, but they're up for grabs. Feel free to browse.

Wednesday, August 20, 2003   the SMADNESS project
Today we are re-introducing the SMADNESS project. 'smadness is the home of my photographer counterpart, a site that attracts people from all corners of the earth, and while the traffic is not heavy, it is rather constant, with many repeat viewers and a good number of subscribers. As a photographer, I do a lot of business printing postcards to sell in the campus bookstore. Large prints of the highest quality are also sold, and business is thriving. The 'smadness project is a documentary of the history of the business and website, from the first edition in November 2000 to the current fifth edition. Support the arts! visit www.smadness.com.

Friday, August 8, 2003   new beginnings
Behold the start of a new blogging system, the smadness blogger. This is a versatile blogger that's capable of many vocations, including this news list for the Thirteenth Shore front page. More info will be coming as soon as I get to it... first, I need to change this horrible design...
